At the NSWA monthly members’ meeting April 28, Lisa Bagshaw will sit down with Vince Beiser, an independent journalist for Wired, The Atlantic, Rolling Stone, The Guardian, The Economist, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, NYT and many other publications. His articles have won numerous awards, been anthologized and optioned for film and TV. His first book was a finalist for a PEN award and a California Book Award. Most recently, he’s the author of Power Metal: The Race for the Resources That Will Shape the Future, which investigates how raw materials for renewable energy, electric cars, and digital technology are spawning environmental havoc, political upheaval, and murder.
