His novel, The Tiger and the Cosmonaut (Penguin Canada), was a finalist for the 2025 Giller Prize and the 2026 Evergreen Award, and was selected as one of the best novels of 2025 by The Globe and Mail, CBC, and Quill & Quire. His 2020 novel After Elias (Dundurn Press) was a finalist for the Edmund White Award for Debut Fiction and the ReLit Best Novel Award, while his 2021 novel, The Rebellious Tide (Dundurn Press) was a finalist for the Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBTQ Fiction.
