Saturday, April 11 from 11:45-12:45
North Vancouver City Hall
Writing family memoir uncovers a gamut of emotions in the excavation of personal history and memory, and then the sharing of intimate events and reflections. For Wiley Wei-Chiun Ho (The Astronaut Children of Dunbar Street) and Tara McGuire (Holden After and Before), whose memoirs involve family loss and grief, the perils of writing close to the bone also brings personal transformation, joy, and hope.
Join Wiley and Tara in discussion with fellow memoirist and teacher JJ Lee, as they untangle the process of writing emotional family stories.
